JAKARTA, AKURATNEWS.co  – Ajang Emmy Awards ke-77 kembali digelar megah di Peacock Theater, Los Angeles, menampilkan bintang-bintang besar televisi dalam malam penghargaan paling prestisius Hollywood.
Perayaan tahunan ini memberikan penghormatan kepada karya dan penampilan terbaik yang tayang antara Juni 2024 hingga Mei 2025.
Pemenang dipilih melalui sistem pemungutan suara berbasis keahlian oleh anggota Television Academy, yang menilai sesuai bidang masing-masing.
Tahun ini, komika Nate Bargatze debut sebagai pembawa acara Emmy. Dikenal lewat enam spesial komedi, dua kali membawakan Saturday Night Live, serta tur stand-up yang selalu terjual habis, Bargatze tampil memikat dengan pesona khasnya.
Ia menyebut kesempatan menjadi host Emmy sebagai mimpi lama yang akhirnya terwujud di panggung besar ini.
Serial Severance memimpin nominasi dengan 27 kategori, termasuk Drama Terbaik, bersaing dengan Andor, The Diplomat, The Last of Us, Paradise, The Pitt, Slow Horses, dan The White Lotus. Untuk kategori Komedi, Hacks kembali berkompetisi menghadapi Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Nobody Wants This, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking, The Studio, dan What We Do in the Shadows.
Persaingan kategori Aktris Utama Drama diwarnai nama-nama besar seperti Kathy Bates, Sharon Horgan, Britt Lower, Bella Ramsey, dan Keri Russell.
Sementara di Aktor Utama Drama, nominasi jatuh kepada Sterling K. Brown, Gary Oldman, Pedro Pascal, Adam Scott, dan Noah Wyle, menjadikannya salah satu kategori terketat malam itu.
Emmy tahun ini juga menyoroti hadirnya bakat-bakat baru. Sebanyak 35 aktor menerima nominasi pertama mereka, di antaranya Harrison Ford (Shrinking), Owen Cooper (Adolescence), Aimee Lou Wood dan Jason Isaacs (The White Lotus), Colin Farrell (The Penguin), serta Cooper Koch (Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story). Kehadiran mereka membawa warna segar ke panggung televisi paling bergengsi ini.
